The “Niña” is growing up and turning sixteen, full of youth and vitality. She is “First Class”. That is the title of this FacoElche edition, referring to excellence and perfection in every area of life. This year we aim to convey that concept through the art of eye surgery.
We will again prepare two live surgery sessions. Following last year’s successful satellite transmission of Femto-Phaco procedures from four locations in Spain, we will repeat the experience to see improvements in the devices and their performance in more complex cataracts.
Our traditional Friday afternoon session will also feature new equipment and lenses. But do you know how it is prepared? We have prepared a video with the timelapse so you can see more behind the scenes at FacoElche.
And, of course, educational, dynamic presentations in true FacoElche style. A major new feature is the change we are making to the Fernando Martínez Sanz Award, open to all participants through three-minute Faco-Tweet presentations.
